How to disable wordpress comments

The problem
I’ve created a page but my problem is that there is always the comments at the bottom of the page I would like to disable it.

The comment section is part of the main wordpress functionality, here’s how you disable it:
Wordpress version 3.4

STEP 1
This is a default setting for all pages and post.
Go to Settings/Discussion/Discussion Settings and you will see this:
Allow people to post comments on new articles (These settings may be overridden for individual articles.)

STEP 2
Go to the page editor of the page on which you are looking to disable it. Next, open up the screen options in the top right corner of your screen. In there, make sure that the checkbox for discussion has been checked. Once done, scroll down the page options and look for the discussion section. In there, uncheck the checkbox for allow comments and update your page.
