Third, it’s so easy to install WordPress. Wordpress.org is a goldmine of tips, tricks, and information on how to set up your very own WordPress account. This is actually great news, as not everyone is tech-savvy. You can visit http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress for a checklist of things you have to prepare prior to installation.

How to Install WordPress: Two choises

We have found two excellent ways on how to set up your WordPress account. To begin with, let’s talk about the “Wordpress Way”, which is also referred to as the 5-minute installation.

How to Install WordPress: First Installation Option:

1. Download and unzip the WordPress files. You can go back to the link above, look for Download, and save the zipped file in any convenient folder in your desktop.
2. In your MySQL and web server, create a WordPress database.
3. Go back to your unzipped file and search for wp-config-sample.php. Change its file name to wp-config.php.
4. Using your text editor, such as Notepad, fill out the details of your database. You can use http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php as a guide.
5. In your web hosting account, upload all the files related to WordPress.
6. Run the installation script for the platform by opening a web browser (Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Chrome) and type http://yourwebsiteaddress.com/wp-admin/install.php. If you have done all the steps right, then you should be able to successfully run the script and install WordPress. Sounds easy, right? Not everyone, however, will be able to get them. Others may find the words “scripts” and “servers” too overwhelming.Fortunately, there’s another solution: Fantastico.

How to Install WordPress: Second Installation Option (the easier way):

Fantastico Deluxe is often bundled in web hosting packages. So you may want to ask your web hosting company if it offers the installation system free in your account. If you don’t have any web host yet, you can use this as a factor in choosing one. Fantastico lets you install WordPress accounts in a jiffy — in fact, a lot faster and easier than the 5-minute installation guide stated above. Once you already have your own web hosting account, go to your cPanel and search for the Fantastico icon. It’s the one with the smiley logo. Within the interface of Fantastico and under Blogs section, choose WordPress by ticking the radio button. You will then be redirected to the third step, which is to fill in the details about your account. Installation Location lets you identify the position of your blog. If it’s going to be your homepage, you can leave the section blank. In Admin Access Data, you can select your login WordPress account. Base Configuration allows you to create the username or blog name you wish to use. E-mail Account Configuration, on the other hand, is only necessary when you’re blogging and posting your article through your e-mail. Once you’ve completed the form, click Install WordPress. The page will then ask you to review the information you have entered. If there are some you want to change, you can simply go back to it. If not, click Finish Installation. A new WordPress account will then be created in your database and you can now start blogging or posting some contents to your website. Enjoy!
